The first 3 requirements are for PVR and Media Framework groups of STB Platform Software group, whose charter is to address the following :
Ø Record/Playback and Trick mode control device drivers development

Ø Development of STB Decoding and Presentation Framework & System Control Components for IP/Cable and Satellite STBs ;

Ø Development of Chip specific embedded System solutions using Linux/Android A/V Multimedia and Graphics (2D/3D) Frameworks

Ø Applications development for STB Decoder SoCs



The DSP Requirement is for the Audio Team





1)Software Architect/Technical Lead (Job Code MF-1)

Responsibilities for this position

Requirement Scoping, Design , Development , Testing and Feature maintenance of Linux Media Framework components on Cortex-A9/ARM11 based STB Decoder SoCs;

Skills Required

Experience in Embedded System development using C/C++ Programming

2+ yrs of experience in Linux based media decoder components development e.g.DIRECTFB/ALSA/FrameBuffer on Embedded Linux System Solutions e.g. ARM11/Cortex-A9 ;

2+ yrs of experience of TCP/IP networking data path handling for real time services over IP network ; Understanding of RTP/RTCP protocols.

Understanding of MEPG2 Transport Standard, Audio/Video Synchronization and performance critical path analysis.
Very good communication skills & team skills to work with multi-site teams

Education and Industry Experience:

· ME / MTECH / BE / BTECH in Electronics

· 4-8 years of industry experience





2) Technical Lead/Software Architect ( Job Code STB-1)

Requirement Scoping, Design, development and productionization of STB Reference Application.

Skills Required:

2+ yrs of experience in Media decoder driver/Application development in Linux/RTOS based embedded System;

MEPG2 Systems and Audio /Video Decoding handling understanding;

Responsibilities of this position

This role is for a software engineer/lead to join the SW platform Audio team which covers everything to do with Audio codec development and integration into the system for STB market

Skills Required

Experience in working with various audio codecs such as MP3, Dolby Digital, AAC/AAC+, WMA, DTS etc.
* Real time embedded C software development
* DSP Programming
* Media handling frameworks
* Code optimisation for particular hardware architectures
* Experience in development of drivers.
* An understanding of modern processors
* Good knowledge of Linux

5)Technical Lead/Software Architect (Job Code BSP)

Responsibilities of this Position

Requirement Scoping, Design , Development , Testing and Feature maintenance of BSP Connectivity component on Cortex-A9/ARM11 based STB Decoder SoCs;

Skills Required

Must have hands on experience (atleast 3 year) on Linux Device driver development on embedded platform.
Experience in Ethernet, PCI, I2C, Flash, SPI, SATA, SDIO, USB , Modem, IR drivers.
Linux Porting on Arm based platform.
Experience in bootloader (optional)
