ENIOR ORACLE DBA

Responsibilities:
* Administer hosted and internal Oracle 10g and 11g RAC and standalone databases on Red Hat Linux.
* Perform logical and physical database design to support client.
* Prepare current database structure and configuration for high-performance/high-availability through analysis and optimization.
* Handle development escalations that require data manipulation on high volume production servers.
* Work closely with software engineers to develop PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages.
* Perform database monitoring utilizing a combination of Oracle Grid Control and LINUX shell scripts.
* Provide ongoing recommendations in the areas of database architecture, design and DB performance enhancements.
* Use Oracle Data Guard for local and remote failover.
* Manage database outages and handle performance, data analysis and reporting issues.
* Participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience.
* Fluent knowledge of ANSI-SQL (all versions).
* Experience writing stored procedures using established coding conventions.
* Experience with optimization and troubleshooting techniques to address performance problems on Oracle 10g * 11g. MS SQL 2005 Enterprise a plus.
* Knowledge of statistical concepts and their application in reporting and data mart applications.
* At least 2 years Oracle RAC experience.
* Proficiency tuning, analyzing and recommending improvements to Schema and SQL.
* Experience in alternate database solutions is a PLUS; MS SQL 2005 Enterprise a PLUS.
* At least 5 years of experience developing in PL/SQL and/or T-SQL
* Experience working in a high availability, VLDB environment a PLUS.
* Excellent customer relations, technical support, and people skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to deliver on deadlines and perform with minimal supervision.
