Referrals (Internal/External) for Junior Developer Positions
Job Responsibilities:
§ Develop automation scripts that will replace manual quality control procedures.
§ Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures that will interface with automation scripts
§ Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures that will interface with automation scripts
§ Responsible for configure, run batch processing jobs, monitor production scheduler, respond to task failures and perform corrective actions on failed tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures.
§ Assist in building Opswise automation workflows.
§ Assist in the performance of system administration, including file restores, file transfers, account management, security management, database re-orgs, etc. at the direction and supervision of System and Database Administrators.
§ Accountable for review and approval of all environmental changes that would impact service delivery to ensure operational readiness and supportability include responding proactively to any negative service health trends.
§ Create Service Management Reports, Daily Operational Statistics and other reports as needed.
§ Accountable for ensuring that problems identification and remediation efforts are appropriately documented, effectively prioritized and driven to resolution.
§ Responsible for monitoring runs and troubleshooting incidents including opening incident tickets and/or contract engineering/helpdesk.
§ Repair or remediate issues or escalate incidents as needed.
§ Communicate to supervisor of operational issues and proposed resolutions.
§ Coordinate the upgrade of existing systems and applications.
§ Acts as liaison with various ITS departments in problem resolution and resolving critical issues that involve functionality of application and infrastructure
§ Work closely with UHGIT to ensure SOP requirements are met.
Required Skills:
§ Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science Engineering and equivalent experience/training.
§ 1 - 3 year of lower level Production Control/Operations experience.
§ Strong working operations knowledge of scripting in Perl or PowerShell.
§ Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server.
§ Strong working knowledge of data storage, backup concepts and technologies.
§ Working knowledge SQL queries and stored procedures.
§ Strong working operations knowledge of File Transfer protocols including FTP, SFTP, and PGP encryption
§ Working general knowledge of Windows systems with the ability to diagnosis server processor, memory and disk space resource issues.
§ Experience working in an application outsourcing environment.
§ Demonstrated ability to monitor and generally manage batch processing via the Autosys/Control- M/Tidal batch job scheduling system or similar scheduling software.
§ Ability to evaluate error codes and take corrective action or following escalation procedures.
§ Demonstrated ability to document new procedures and revise existing procedures.
§ Demonstrated ability to ask questions of an end-user in order to diagnose and correct computer problems
